I sought out to make a joint that connects X, Y, and Z stock. However, the project started with the desire to create an object with an easily repeatable process. My solution was to use easily available 2" x 2" stock, and by using the same file multiple times, arrive at the final form. This way, all I would need to do is flip the block and use the same file, without having to sort through files, re-zero to a new origin, or tweak and optimize multiple files at once.

I found the form of the material removed by dividing the negative space of a simplified joint into three equal parts.

OTHER WORKS

Inspired by the repeatability that the CNC creates, I made a reimagined brick. The module can connect both horizontally and diagonally.
